I\'m psyched

I’m really looking forward to directing Belief. Especially at a new theater. I think this’ll be very cool. In other news, I’m working on replacing the main website software with something very similar, but much easier to maintain and update. The cool thing about the new website is that every page will be chained to another page, while still offering you pretty much unlimited freedom to create links, and create the pages afterwards. It’s also much harder to get lost on the new website. There’s always navigational links at the top that you can use to backtrack up pages. If you’d like to provide input you can visit the site at:

Cinco de Mayo

You know what would be cool? If I had any clue if I was spelling that properly. That day does bring up two things:
    1) Why do I still not really know what holiday we are celebrating on May 5th (aside from my birthday)?
    2) The new Liz Phair song sucks. Sorry. It does. Avril should sue her.

Vomiting, vomiting, vomiting...

For those of you who don’t know vomiting sucks. I got up a 7:30 this morning and began throwing up. At 8:45 work called. Couldn’t pick up the phone. I was vomiting. At noon Julie woke up. Still vomiting. I just felt well enough to do some stuff for work at 6ish pm. Vomitted during the middle of testing. Urghh… it’s a wonder one’s body can take it.

Travis thinks I need to wrap up the Goat.

Well, what do I have to say. Not a whole lot. It was a good run. We made back our rent, plus a little. All in all a good thing. I am happy. Now on to the cat play and my screenplay.

Bush Launches Largest Theatrical Publicity Campaign Ever

In a move sure to irritate James Cameron, late Wednesday night, President Bush and top advisors started a publicity campaign unparalled in modern history. As a promotional move meant to draw attention to Timothy Thomas’ comedy ‘Scaping the Goat’, President Bush created a full scale military campaign unrivaled since his father’s production of “Desert Storm”. “We are committed to providing the artistic support necessary to foster our artistic communities throughout the country,”  Ari Fleischer said during a press conference Wednesday afternoon. “We felt that ‘Scaping the Goat’ was a perfect oportunity to showcase our feelings about the value of theater in modern American life.” They feel confident that their military campaign will be wrapped around the same time ‘Scaping the Goat’ closes on April 5th.

No Starflyer...

I did not get to see StarFlyer 59. But I did fix the modempool at work, which in the long run was probably more important to my day-to-day existence. Would have been nice to see them, but I guess if a venue only holds 75 people there’s really no chance of you getting in. Shortly we’re off to see Camper van Beethoven at La Zona Rosa. We saw the Datsuns, Whirlwind Heat, Grandaddy, and Icarus Line there last night. Which was fun. Except for Icarus Line, on whom I blame my current deafness. They made me realize that if Iggy Pop just stood around on stage, he’d be a really boring singer. Julie and I decided that one of their guitarists, their bassist and drummer needed to form a band with a lead singer with talent. The Datsuns rocked, though. So did Whirlwind Heat.

Almost to Goat Nirvana...

Ok, so I’m almost done with publicity. The postcards are printing as I type, and I just put up the online reservation system. Now all I have left is to feed postcard after postcard into the printer, and that whole sound thing… Oh yeah, and

**I’M GOING TO SEE STARFLYER 59 TOMORROW!
**

So you may be questioning why I’m so excited.  Only because I never get to see any of the Christian bands I like, ‘cause they generally tour at churches, and I don’t hear about the shows until months after they’re over. And I’ll hear a friend say, “You like them, I saw them two weeks ago, I’d never heard of them before…” So frustrating! Anyway, I must get into the Hideout tomorrow. Anyone who reads this is welcome to come with. Just email me.

Erin's joking when she says...

If the Iran-Contra scandal happened today would there even be hearings?

Tim should be writing...
