First Draft Done!!!
102 pages, finished yesterday afternoon. It nees a ton of revisions, but by god it’s done.

So an addition to my earlier entry. They called off the entire workday. No dying for stock prices.
Okay, so it’s really an ice day, but all the same, we don’t have to go to work until later in the day…there’s ice all over the road and people are slipping and sliding all over the damn place. But see, here’s the deal yo. We’re supposed to go in at noon, but the temperature isn’t supposed to get over freezing until…well they don’t know when. So we’re supposed to go to work in dangerous conditions still. So am I being asked to put my life on the line for a company? Is that the proposition that’s being made here? It’s not like we’re delivering vaccinations or protecting the world from evil nazi werewolves. I’m not putting my life on the line just to keep the stock from going down. Fuck that.
…because I’d never seen it before. It seems to be one of those that everyone has seen, but I hadn’t gotten around to, and holy crap, it was fantastic. You really should see it if you haven’t. I’ll probably watch it again. It was nice seeing Robin Williams going less than 855 miles per hour. Oh, and this movie has one thing in common with the play that Julie is in now, “Betty’s Summer Vacation” but I’m not going to give it away in case you haven’t seen the movie, or the play…and you should see them both.
Julie must not realize that I have some inexplicable, unforgiveable bias towards most poetry. But Dr. Seuss is okay. Maybe it’s just something that developed from seeing too many open mic poetry nights at the hideout.
If you’ve never researched UFO Cults you should really give it a read. I had no idea there was an Interplanetary Parliament based on Saturn.
…so again I turn to my trusty LGT online diary. It’s not really so much of a diary really because I know other people can read it, so I’m not gonna talk about anything TOO personal in here. Not like one of those anonymous online diaries where people spill their guts out for the whole world to read, whining about the misery of their existence, hoping to make some sort of safe anonymous connection with another human being. Too harsh? My apologies.
I’m not too sure I’m all that crazy about the recent ruling ordering an ISP to provide the name of one of their users who allegedly downloaded a ton of songs in a single day. I found it weird that the news report I heard said that the judge went on and delivered the order to the ISP, but did not rule on the Constitutionality of requiring ISP’s to provide the names of their customers to third parties. SHOULDN’T YOU MAYBE DO THAT FIRST?!?!?! So many questions arise. Was this person downloading music that is available to purchase or were they downloading unreleased/live/discontinued/super rare tracks? Like last night alone, I found a track of Radiohead doing a cover of a Deftones song. I found a live track of Soundgarden doing “Cop Killer” by Body Count. I found a bunch of Toadies shit that I’ve never heard or even heard OF. Also, does internet music sharing really cut down on the purchase of albums? Can anyone show some numbers? Is it really bad for artists or does it have the potential to be a good thing for them? Maybe I don’t have enough foresight into the future, and maybe I have a different viewpoint because I’m not making my living off of art, but personally, I’m of the mind that if I like a musician/band/musical entity enough, I will want to have their album in my collection…and not a burned CD, I mean the album with the cover art and lyrics and all of that. Of course, not everyone else is like me. Also, does the music industry really plan to go after every single user who downloads music off the net? Strike anyone as completely unfeasible? I don’t know, what do you frogs think?
Poor guy puts up one little post and Tim’s crotchety old man comes out to shake his cane at him.
I mean really, we’re not fighting fires. We’re not solving crimes. We’re not saving lives. We’re not saving people from poverty or bringing hope to the inner-cities. It’s just a job people. Whatever little piddly work thing you’re panicking about today will not matter a lick in a year…hell, less than that. And it won’t change the world or anyone’s life, so fucking let it go. Okay I’m done. Sorry.
