Stranger than Fiction
This is a collection of Chuck Palahniuk's non-fiction essays written mostly for magazines. It's fascinating. You get a little bit of Chuck's view on writing, plus you find out where he comes up with his bizarre ideas. This guy has had a crazy life filled with all sorts of interesting (and tragic), circumstances and all sorts of fascinating friends. Makes you think you have to make a major life overhaul to be a writer. But it's very inspriring. I highly recommend it, especially if you're already a fan. You also get a lot of dirt on what it felt like to have Fight Club become some sort of touchstone for 20 something males. Apparently, Chuck's life is very similiar to the one enjoyed by Jack in the movie. I enjoyed the whole book immensely and hope he will write another book of his essays soon.
